SSII/RWM map editing & RWM balance
Notes/infos/abbreviations/conventions
before to read balance & mapping.
----------------------------------------------------
Notes (before mapping):
RWM is only a game ? NO! It's a WW2 realism, ambiance & immersion feeling game! So, for a minimum litle respect of that & to history:
> First, of course, never use this total prototyps:
(but normaly units delete in futur v 6.8)
- "Black Prince" (GB) & M6 "US heavy Tank" (USA)
Never used in WW2 & besides, never in not any wars... Includ in the game by error or stupidity (change "st" by "c" maybe too...), units dating of SS2 basic Vanilla.
> Dont use also too often or in very specific scenarios this units:
- Pershing (USA) - Use in ground only 200ex and arrived only from january 1945, very arrived slowly and hardly fought (only 2 destroy in WW2)...
- Springer (DE) - Very hardly fought too, this units are almost of prototypes in the WW2...
- SturmTiger (DE) - (only 18 ex) above all used in WW2 for destroy fortifications & houses
- GMC M19 (AA tank) (USA) - Arrived only from april 1945 & almost never use in WW2 combat.
For all this units (except specific scenarios), search preferably other units & combinations balancing.
- I note "[preferably other units]" if this units appear in the equitably groups examples in "Map editing..." page.
> Use too in litle quantity in the maps the units product in litle quantity in reality:
- JS1 (USSR) - Only 107 ex product & used in ground from oct. 1943
and quickly stopped and replaced in january 1944 by JS2.
- Elephant (DE) - 90 ex
- JagdTiger (DE) - 85 ex
- S.I.G 33 Bison (DE) - 38 ex
THX for the Real Warfare WW2 Mod... ambiance & immersion real feeling.

Info & abbreviations:
All commentaries here, speak above all about to units specificities in RWM, sometimes differente to the reality. |
- Accuracy = Generaly, the accuracy of tank is better by order: "AT" tank, "Normal" tank, "Howit. SPG direct shoot" tank and of course in last "Ari/Howit. SPG indirect shoot" tank. (depend too of the "xp unit" choice to mapper).
- APC = Armored Car
- ARI = artillery
- AT tank = tank hunter équiped with spécial AT gun
- AT & AA guns = Generaly guns named "Pack" = AT (Anti Tank), Flack = AA (Anti Aircraft) and exist (combining the two) AA/AT guns or ARI(or howit.)/AT guns.
- Howit. = howitzer.
Ari have a more long range shoot than howit. and howit. are sometimes in direct shoot in RWM, never ari (exept the guns combining ari/AT).
- Russia tanks named JS or IS, ISU or JSU = Joseph or Ioseph Stalin.
- RS = Range Shoot (in text).
Generaly in RWM, the guns with +/- the same RS in the same categories: "Normal/basis" tank OR "AT" tank OR "SPG" (howit.) direct shoot tank, have +/- the same percing (penetration) armour power.
- Size guns = Generaly and for the most part in RWM as in reality, the same equivalent "mm" does not mean same power or even distance shooting. A good example: A 75mm of Panther is +/- identical than a 85mm T34-85 and better than a 76mm Shermann (you see that in RS category in first page). "pdr" or "inch" are special called for "mm" size guns by GB or USA (see my tables for their correspondence in mm).
- SPG = Self Propaled Gun (ari/howitzer or AT tanks, without turett) (In RWM, howit. SPG tanks exist in direct OR indirect shoot)
- xp = "experience", that the mappers can choice in map editor for the individual units parameters. More "experience" = more accuracy

(and above all my "Word" table).
